Open Source Software (OSS ) is software in which source code is made available   (under  copyright license) to the public on internet and user can modify source code without any cost. Anyone can see, modify and enhance the source code. it can be easily installed into the computer or system. Open source software is less secure than proprietary software. Example: 1. Mozilla 2. Firefox 3. Linux   4. Blender 5. Unix 6. Libre office Proprietary Software refers to software which source code is not public and user can't modify the source code. User can't view the source code.
